Further info

Back in the 1930s, to solve traffic problems in Skovshoved, the community built a new road around the town named Kystvejen (Costal Road), built on the sea territory. For that reason, the old harbour was removed, and a new harbour built on the east side of the road. In 2013 the whole harbour was renovated and extended to the east, which gave room for more boats in the harbour but also as the harbour shape was kept, more shore area in the northern and especially in the southern end, which as you can see on the map gave room for a huge parking area ( all parking area are sealed area).

The clubhouse facilities were originally built in beginning of the 1940s, but around 2010 was removed and new and bigger build in the same style. KDY and Skovshoved Sejlklub (SKS) share partly facilities inclusing the club restaurant (Sejlklubbernes Spisehus (3)). KDY’s facilities are marked 9 on the map. KDY is right now in progress building a big multifunction clubhouse on the grass area (green) next to HalGodt (21) as you can see on the map. We have hoped that the clubhouse could have been ready for the event, but as it looks now, it will be finished at the end of 2026.

Shore area

On the southern parking area there will be space for road trailers, boat containers from abroad and campers. The campers here will have access to electricity etc, shall pay the harbour for these places. Road trailers and containers are parked for free.

In the centre of the harbour, we will use the parking area at the pier as the dinghy park (room for about 130 dinghies), which is right next to the slipway. The rest will be placed north of the slipway, where we also will have a tent for measurement with a minimum of 100 square meters.

For the participants who would like to stay in a tent during the regatta there will be places on the grass area in the northen end of the harbour. There are no facilities except toilets as you can see on the map. On the other hand, tent camping is for free.

We have two places with change room and showers separate for M/W. One next to the harbour office (1) and one West of the Northern Bassin (9).
